Add GPS to any aircraft.
Shift + number or sometimes these small icons on the dashboard can open additional windows. You can adjust the size of the windows.
What if you want to have an extra window? If you plan to add part of the original game, you'll have no trouble. Otherwise, you'll just have to pay attention to the files that you must add to your panel for your setup works.
For example, consider a device that does not have GPS.
Suppose that the first lines of the file are as follows:
[Window Titles]
Window00=Main Panel
Window01=Radio Stack
Window02=Annunciator
Window03=Compass
Window04=Mini Panel
Start by declaring in this section the additional window for GPS by assigning the following serial number:
Window05=GPS
Then add the settings for your new window into the body of the file (in our example we will add the following section [Window04]) by copying the following lines:
[Window05]
size_mm=456,378
window_size=0.350
position=8
BACKGROUND_COLOR=0,0,0
VISIBLE=0
ident=GPS_PANEL
gauge00=fs9gps!gps_500, 0,0
If you prefer to use gps 295, just change the last line to:
gauge00=fs9gps!gps_295, 0,0
If the window size does not suit you, play on window_size = value.
Your Gps will open when you press Shift +6 (such as windows starts numbering at 0, always add 1 to find out which digital touch support).
You can also consider adding on the dashboard a little icon called predefined gps. Add the following line in the main window:
gaugexxx SimIcons =! GPS Icon, x, x, x, x
To give you the correct serial number for the gauge and the values ??for the position.
You can do the same way to define a radio rack for example.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
copy in your panel.cfg the GPS section of the plane with (eg the C172)
by adding
WindowXX=GPS
and
[WindowXX]
size_mm=456,378
window_size=0.5
position=8
BACKGROUND_COLOR=0,0,0
VISIBLE=0
ident=GPS_PANEL
zorder=4
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[Window Titles]
Window00=G1000_PFD
Window01=G1000_MFD
[Window05]
size_mm=456,378
window_size=0.350
position=8
BACKGROUND_COLOR=0,0,0
VISIBLE=0
ident=GPS_PANEL
gauge00=fs9gps!G1000, 0,0
for my Rafale, i use the Garmin 1000
enjoy!
and keep the blue up!!!
